My mentor and buddy Howard Wimmer passed away last year and i bought his books at the auction, and wondered how many forum members have copies or read any of them??

If you think beekeeping is hard work now? Read the 1890 ABC of Bee Culter if you can find one, They made there equipment without power tools and took there bees from place to place by horse and wagon. :o Jack

I love old books and what a wonderful memento of your mentor! 

I never have time to read anymore (at least not with a brain)  but I"d love to read the 1890 and 1913 book some day!

I have a really old edition of the ABC book.  It's neat to look at what keeps didn't know yet compared to the present.

Perry, Richard Taylor was my favorite  author and still is, good common sense and easy reading. Blueblood, i agree, i got into some of the good old days, before mites and shb.  8) Jack

i would!!! a great collection of books, and even better, that they belonged to your friend jack.  the earliest edition i have of abc is from 1908, and has been a treasure to read.
