Lost another dear friend yesterday(Deb), She was the ex Farmers Market manager, 3 yrs. ago she found out she had lung cancer (yes, she was a smoker) They gave her less than a year but she was a fighter and lived two and a half years. Just last year her, her husband (Steve), my wife and i were hunting arrow heads in Rattle Snake creek and you would never think anything was wrong with her. She wanted some bees at their house for pollination so i took 5 hives over there and every time i opened a hive she was standing there taking pictures, but she would always ask if the bees were in a good mood or not before she came close. Deb, will be missed. Jack

As time passes, I often wonder why it wasn't me. Friends I have spent a lifetime with are gone. It never fails, that I think of them in certain situations. Hey I need to call XXXX and... oh... yeah... In that moment even YEARS after they have gone, it hurts all over again.
Life is so short that its important to make just as many friends as possible, so when it IS my turn, there will be many who remember, and smile.
Life is so short you can never meet everyone who would BE your friend.

Sorry to hear of that Jack.
IMHO, the biggest accomplishment one can do in this world, is make a difference in someone else s life.
Sounds like she made a difference in yours.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers,Debs husband (Steve) her daughter and one of her grandsons just left, we had them over for supper and talked about the good times we had and had some laughs. When they left they were in a good mood, better than when they came. Steve hand me a box that Deb was going to give me when i came to work the bees, inside was a Jack in the box that they had got at Branson, Mo. and when i turned the crank a clown popped up with my face on it (an ugly face i might add :D). She had some how transferred the picture onto a piece of cloth and sewed it on the clowns face, I didn't want to break down in front of them, but that kind of got to me. We was always pulling tricks on each other. She is, and always wlli be missed. Thanks again. Jack

Had Deb's funeral this afternoon, it's bad enough to say good by to a close friend, but it's harder to see family members say good by . We told her daughter and two grandsons not to forget where we live and she said we won'i, that we are her grand parents now.( they live in Iowa) Breaks your heart. Thank all of you for your prayers and understanding. Jack
