yesterday I was cruising around town in the cj7 with the top off. Today we have a fire built and a half inch of snow this morning.  Welcome to the Midwest where they say if you don't like the weather today hang around for tomorrow. :D

No snow here, but it did snow in the Texas panhandle and west Texas.  All we got was a little rain and marble sized hail today.  It was 85 a couple of days ago and it is supposed to be 32 in the morning.   :o  I am ready for this cold weather to be gone!

With perry and squirt shoveling snow and throwing it up in the north wind (giggling) knowing it will come our way, it had to happen :P. Perry, Lazy said something about you wearing Yoga pants ;D, i've been trying to get that image out of my mind. Jack

Yoga pants? Some things can't be unseen. Even when they haven't actually been seen!

It was 87 this weekend. Its 73 right now at 10:00 and supposed to have an inch on by morning.  My pear trees are in full bloom and my apple trees opened last night.  Supposed to be 22 degrees tomorrow night. GRRR!  After grafting these buggers and waiting 5 years I was looking forward to getting to try them out.  Oh well,  I hope the poplars don't get bit back too bad.  We lost our poplar crop year before last.

guilty..  I took the plow off the wifes dodge the other day when it was 74...
thankfully we didnt get more than an inch and it all melted...   still chilly out there though....

it is AMAZING how different the temps feel after a couple days of 60's and 70's...
when it was - 20 with 40 mph winds I could have danced in 40 degree temps in yoga pants...
now its 42, the sun is shining and I don't want to go outside....      :-[

http://www.freep.com/article/20140423/FEATURES07/304230141/Mackinac-Island-ice-snow-travel-resort

It’s not exactly spring on Mackinac Island. After the coldest winter in memory, spring is barely to be found on Mackinac, which usually welcomes its first tourists by May 1.

Seasonal ferry service usually begins by April 21, but the ice is so thick in Lake Huron that ferry companies need the U.S. Coast Guard to break ice — and that has not happened as of today. The icebreaker is due to arrive by 8 a.m. Thursday to help clear ice that is up to 3 feet thick in Lake Huron in spots between St. Ignace and the island.

Sounded like they opened up the high mountain lakes for fishing but the weather forecast is 5-10” of snow a day for the last week and high avalanche warnings.
