Title: Placed Swarm Traps, Excitement Builds
Post by: tbonekel on April 15, 2014, 07:58:10 am
Two days ago, I put in place 3 swarm traps. Two, I put in just along the tree line of a field of pretty much anything that will grow. This is the same location that I caught two swarms in last year. As the bee flies, they are probably about a 1/4 mile away from my house. It will be interesting if I get some action again this year. I also put one in my yard, just in case one of my hives gets crazy. It's hard to explain the feeling I get about these swarm traps. The closest thing that I can compare it to is being about 10 years old on Christmas Eve. Dummy me, I didn't take any pictures of this pretty place, but I will put some before long to show you the layout.
