Hello all!
Just introducing myself. I followed everybody from the other board. I was known as beeboy over there.
It seems like I have a nack for killing really good threads so I thought I would go with threadkilla as my user name. I'll try not to kill any threads though.
I tend to lurk a lot 8) maybe I can find a way to contribute someday.
Sapulpa is about 20 min southwest of Tulsa. I live in the country with 12 acres & I have four hives there. I have three splits out on another place a few miles from here. I want to have 10 this year.
It's good to see all the familiar faces (names).

Welcome. Good to see you again.
Now, if we can just combine the names, we could come up with beekilla. ;D
Let's hope not, tho, either way. If you kill a thread, we will just resurrect it and keep going, so post away.

Thanks everybody! Some of you are really funny. I think that's why I like following you guys around. 8) O:-) ;D
No pics that involves yoga pants though!
-
Good to see you found us. Some familiar names and lots of new ones too, some with a really wicked sense of humour as well. Bees and having fun, is there really anything better?
I have been known to kill a thread or two, but more often I just simply take them way off topic where they just get lost. ;) :-[

Welcome Threadkilla over here, just read you thread on the other site, so good luck with your splits, requeening, swarm catching and hope for the honey also. I am hoping for the same.

Speak up.. Let er rip!! Post your BEST advice... I have found that when I am WRONG I remember it easier when twenty people point at me and laugh...
No actually no one here does that except Perry, he is easy to ignore. ;D Learning from these great folks is an ongoing and every day challenge. Please feel free to speak up. No one on this forum will slam you if your wrong. I have noticed when i post something incorrect I get asked questions as to how I came by that information, and then the lessons begin.. its fantastic, and you don't have to pay college tuition!!!

Hey, threadkilla. Welcome.
-
Welcome again Beeboy.....you should have kept that name, I liked it!
-
Welcome killa, glade to have tour company. I lived in T town until two years ago. Jim

Welcome! What Lazy said about making mistakes is true. I'll bet if and when you do something that you think is silly or stupid, post it on here. There will be probably 3 or 4 people that will start out with, "you think that's bad....here is what I did" This is my first spring as a beekeeper and I really like this forum. Lot's of nice people that I wish I lived closer to. Okay everybody, don't get nervous!
-
Welcome!

Bsweet what could ever convince someone to leave T - town I'll never know. Seriously is good to know someone on here is familiar with my area.

Killa, I was born and raised in the west and just could'nt get use to the lack on mountians so after two years it was time to move. Check out Northeast Oklahoma Beekeepers (NEOBA, they are a great bunch of people. Jim

Good to see ya again- didn't recognize you at first. May be in Sapulpa soon due to the fact my ex-son in law( 15 yrs. ago) can't seem to forget me. He has a really annoying habit of using my home phone number as a reference when buying stuff on credit- 6 or 7 calls in a day from Conns(?) . He's been doing this for years but I've found his address now and feel he really deserves a "personal credit counciiing" session.
It's nice to see someone from my neck of the woods anyway and if you try NEOBA I hope you have better luck than I did!
-
You're not the first to tell me that about NEOBA.
If you need any help with that counseling session let me know.
