Got a message on Face Book and went straight over. It was 43 going to 32 degrees. I guess they didn't check the forcast before they left.

Hi Yankee, that was about the temp when my first swarm hit the air a month ago. I hope you're more ready than I was :D
-
I bet they were a little shy on wanting to fly.
Were they upset when you got them?
Good job on getting them put up!!
-
No flying, just a big blob in bottom of box. :)
I took straight home and put them in garage and warmed garage up until they unclustered. Left them in garage all night let it cool slowly so they could regroup. Got down to 35 with stiff winds outside.
Put them out today at 55 degrees and put a jar of food on top of them. They had pulled in a pint of syrup and were building comb when I got home from work. Covered 5 frames thick with bees.

Awesome!! I bet they were appreciative.

Lol,
I moved them to a single deep today, They are pulling comb and on their 2nd quart of syrup.
AND,
I found the queen. WooHoo. She's a beauty. ;D
