4 Years ago today I gave up on the best friend I knew at the time alcohol and got sober. Shortly after a gentleman in NC called on the phone and offered to make a moderator out of me on a bee forum under one condition. I had to stay sober in order to remain a moderator. I have kept my end and so has he. A true friendship indeed. Thank you Iddee I couldn't be hitting this landmark today with out you and the forums help.

Good deal!
Has it really been that long? WOW how time does fly!
I am glad that you are still on the wagon and now to get you knee deep back into the bees, LOL :D

Congrats on the milestone!
I couldn't imagine being part of a forum without anyone of you! It just wouldn't be the same!
-
That's huge! Congrats on the sobriety and the friendship(s) too!

Just helping a fellow human navigate a road I had already traveled. It isn't an easy trip, but well worth the effort.
Congratulations, Friend, and may you have the pleasure of passing it on to another as life goes on.

WOOT! Well done RR!! Proud of you!!
I married my best friend, then went away in the service... that didn't work out well.. when I got divorced, I was living to work for a paycheck to pay for alcohol.. A lot of nights I dont remember, and a lot of days I have no idea how I managed to get to work.. Thankfully.. I managed to make one good decision.. pack up, get away, and start over... so began my days of living in the south, and meeting a little gal from Maine, and the happily ever after part of life.
Glad your still hanging in there. Keep up the good fight! It's not always easy.

Good to hear riverrat! I have never heard any regrets about making that decision, only that they hadn't made it sooner! 29 years for me this coming Easter Monday.

Good going RR! People are stronger than they think sometimes, & it will a little encouragement from some one before we use that strength.

Congratulations, river rat. I also had to fight that demon, so I know what you and the others have been through. It's not an easy fight, but like lazy said, it's well worth it.

Congrats! Very proud for you and wish you continued success on the road you're now traveling.
