There could be worse jobs to earn extra cash for hive equipment. A friend of mine who is a fine furniture craftsman by trade outsourced the task of turning 8 credenza feet . I am honored he trusted me with this part of his project. And, as a side effect, I am glad to earn enough extra cash to buy about 50 frames/foundation. It is getting close to swarm season and splitting time so I could use some extra frames. 8)

Very nice work Dave. It is also nice to have several hobbies to help keep your sanity. Do you use Sorby tools?

Yes it is Jim! I have a couple Sorby but mainly a variety of lathe tools I have picked up over the years. My favorite skew is a Benjamin Best. I love turning. Do you turn?

Dave, No I don't turn. I had a lathe (not well made from Taiwan) that I gave away. I kept some Sorby tools in case I get back into it. I just got home from an auction that they sold a bunch of Sorby tools for a good price. I ended up buying 11 fruit trees at the auction. I better go get busy planting now. LOL You do very impressive lathe work. :)

I love bens tools. Good quality and very cheap. My first dressers I purchased feet for it. After that I turned my own bun feeet. I also stressed about getting them an exact match but it really does not matter if they are close. I picked up a used sorby lathe about two years ago
