Title: Hey, over here! It's me!

You can run, but you can't hide!  I found you!  I see a lot of familiar names here.  Some of you may know me as srvfantexasflood.  I decided new forum, new ID.  
I've been keeping bees since 2008, so compared to most of you, I am a beginner.  My interest in bees grew out of my lifelong gardening and nature interests.  I am currently the secretary of my local beekeeping club and am a strong advocate of beekeepers utilizing any local clubs that might be available to them.
For the last 21 years I have worked at a children's home in the food service department.  I am currently the lead cook, but divide my time between preparing meals, baking, decorating birthday cakes, chairing a cultural diversity committee, answering questions and supervising teenagers.  In my free time I garden and I am learning to play the  fiddle.  I have played a musical instrument, of some type, almost all my life.  Taking up the fiddle is an attempt to keep the brain young.
I have a husband that allows me to play with bees, children and some of the smartest darned grandchildren around.

LOL!!!  Welcome!!!!
   Enjoy those grandkids for me too!!   I think my kids have both decided not to have any  :(    Had MY kids young JUST so i could have grandkids while I still had life/limb and SOME youth left...  they are 26 (twins) and no grandkids...    :cry:

Thanks for the welcome.  Our only girl, actually she's my stepdaughter, is 34 and never been married.  She just recently started dating someone seriously.  It's going to take a special guy to make her commit.  Her older brothers got busy and each have 2 children each.
