C F Koehnen Honey Company, Chico, CA, still has marked italian queens available. Should arrive UPS by Friday. $100 including overnight shipping.

Aww don't cry, overnight postage was the killer there I am sure. Now you need to hunt down those swarmy queens. Since you only wanted two colonies now have three, maybe give them away to some other  needy beek suspect those genetic traits you don't in you colonies.

Barry- Oh! It's not the expense. I think it's more the uncertainty of it all. It's frustratrating doing everything you possibly can to understand why it's failing in front of you ~

but that's just it,  its not failing they are succeeding according to their genetic programming.  all bees swarm, some much more than others, you know where yours fall in that slot.  I am sorry it took you that long, to make a believer out of your hubby. a lot of this could have been avoided last year, but then you wouldn't have learned from this year.

Awwe, I'll go easy on ya then  :)  but that only because you practice yoga  ;D  it doesn't take a wife long to realize that her man is really just one of the kids in disguise ~

   So this is something that started way back with Emzara?   (Noah's wife)  Has to have been an ugly rumor started about that time.   Don't believe in rumors!!!

Oh NoNo! this well honed female sense goes way farther back than Noah's wife Emzara. It began with the first human female that stood upright on two feet and stared down her male mate and said 'No hoochy koochy until you take out the garbage Mistah!'  :laugh:
