Title: Had to feed
Post by: tbonekel on April 22, 2014, 03:38:20 pm
Well I thought there might be a flow on, but I inspected yesterday after a week. I did a quick inspection of two hives and they were very low on stores. I fed them. I was really hoping to see some stuff, but my findings were not impressive. I'm new, but I really thought there would have been a flow on by now. Patience grasshopper.

I'm surprised that there is no flow in your area. Here in Oklahoma, I have had a early flow that I don't think I have ever had.

I would have thought so as well. There is not much going on in the upper deep and the frames on the outside that are usually reserved for honey are empty. There is some pollen, but that's it.

We here in Cali have had two flo's. Weather has turned cold/snow, so bees aren't getting out, I'm feeding as well.
