Title: Staightening Warped Wooden Ware
Post by: litefoot on May 17, 2014, 12:30:46 pm
I bought a bunch of unassembled boxes and frames last year from Mann Lake. I inspected everything upon arrival and had a few things that needed to be replaced, which they did without any issues at all.  :goodjob: Mann Lake  :goodjob: I didn't assemble everything right away so now I have one last unassembled deep that is warped. Do I soak them a bit before pressing them flat?

Use a clamp or if you do not have a clamp use screws and tighten them a little and move to the next Keep it up till it pulls the side in. Water will not work unless you can use pressure to hold the board flat while it dries.

Obviously it's hard to tell without pictures, but if the wood is warped enough, there is nothing you can do for it.  It will always want to warp again.

Its hard to fix warped. I usually pull them together with clamps glue and screws if its doesn't pull in  where it will work as a frame box. I use them has top feeder cover boxes.
