Title: Graveyard Swarm
Post by: brooksbeefarm on May 18, 2014, 02:45:04 pm
Care taker at a graveyard in Springfield, Mo.called and said there was a swarm on a cross in the graveyard and was afraid someone might get stung with Decoration Day coming up. This was in the same area that i got a swarm 2 yrs. ago, both  within 100 ft. of where my grandfather and two of his brothers are buried (my great uncles). I'm beginning to wounder if they had a hand in it just to get me to visit? :D.The cross was on a babies grave that died in 1873, the cross was about two foot tall with between 3 to 4 pounds of bees on it. I put a hive with some drawn comb next to it, took my scoop made from a bleach jug and scooped most of them in and started whistling Dixie and the rest marched right in, my kind of bees. Jack

Give me a break. :D Funny you would say that G3, it was getting dark when i was finishing up, there was a bush between me and the road and a young girl was walking her dog down the road and when i stood up with my white hood and jacket she yelled big and loud, i didn't know she was there and she scared  the crap out of me too. We had a good laugh after we got our breath back. I told her i was sorry:laugh and she said she shouldn't be walking her dog in the cematary that late. Jack

Thanks for putting a smile on my face first thing this morning!
I would actually prefer my zombies to be in full gear... it may take a bit longer to chew through the veil before they get to my brain.
Of course any zombie unfortunate enough to catch me will always be doomed to a light snack instead of the full meal they were anticipating  ;D

Loved the story Jack, very funny.
It might be a good place to set up a trap with the care taker able to call and report is bees are using it.
