We have this plant growing in this area and I can not seem to find it. It points to being a form of Phlox but this one only has 4 petals. The others I have found all have 5. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. Tom

Well it looks like a Flox to me, but I'm not familiar with plants in Nebraska, it's a guess.

A couple of folks on Trapperman.com identified it as Dame's Rocket...after a search that appears to be it. Tom
