Hi everyone,
I am a 3rd year beekeeper from beautiful Central Wisconsin, where our long hard winter ended and the trees and bees have been racing to get back on schedule! I have 3 hives - one that made it through the winter, which I split and the queenless end of that deal has grown its own new queen (my first - so proud of her!). And the third hive was a packaged installed early April.
All are doing well although the split with the new queen is quite a bit behind the other hives. I should probably put a frame of capped brood in there from the other hives... BUT, the one next to it is all mediums, and this one is in a deep, so its not ideal for swapping!
Anyway - glad to be here - I think I recognize some names from elsewhere on the 'net.
Thanks
Chris
