I found her on my driveway about 50 feet from the hives. Not sure how she got there other than walking or being carried. I've looked for others like her in the hives but so far haven't seen any.

Hu! I find dead and dying bees all over my yard. Maybe she's just old and walked away from the hive, I've seen that. Are her wings tattered?

Looks like DWV to me (Deformed Wing Virus).
Check your mite load soon.

OOOOOHH! I see it now! Yikes! I had DWV in my hive last fall, it means your hive is in deep trouble! Get to crackin' tbone, after a mite check, either oxalic acid three treatments, or Mite Away Quik Strips, they're so easy to use. Saved my hive last fall.
Good Call Perry!

What Perry said.. Just did my third treatment but still finding a few crawlers. Takes a few weeks for them all to die off once the mite load is reduced.

My story last fall in a nut shell ~ I was on the other forum asking some questions related to my one and only beehive. I can't remember what the questions were. A man named Jan from Denmark pm'd me on fb and said he was reading my questions on the other forum.
He says "Yen! I dunt vant to alarm yu, but yu have Much truuble in yur hive! Run Yen Run to store get formic acid, treat beez NOW!"
I did a quick Randy Oliver check on the symptoms of my hive, and Jan was right. So I communicated with him for a bit and he says
"Yen! I unjoy visiting but makes me nurvuus, Run to store get formic acid, Hurry!"
And so I did. Turns out I had over a 2,000 mite kill, and I spotted many bees with Deformed Wing Virus. My hive wouldn't have made it thru the winter. I am forever grateful to Jan from Denmark ~
