Title: first pop of the year
Post by: Papakeith on June 25, 2014, 09:29:46 pm
I was all done .  walking away.  One girl held a grudge.  She waited until I lowered my guard and my veil.

Pop!  right next to my eye!

nah, I haven't ever really reacted to stings.  Once it turned red I to the picture.  That will probably be the worst of it apart from the  itching in a day or so.

Guess I am lucky this year, no stings yet, brag about it and I will probably get stung the next time I am around them.

I've already lost count on mine. I think my first one was way back in march!

tbone- "I've already lost count on mine. I think my first one was way back in march!

Me too, I've had my share this season, but of course I sting all year long so it's no big deal really  :)

I have only had one this year and all I was doing was sitting in the chair watching the orientation flights.  Last year, I got a total of 29!

I am quite certain my total is over 30 if I count the stings while doing removals.. seems the ladies are JUST starting to mellow out a bit..  Havent been stung in the last couple of inspections at all..
Really stinks to get nailed anywhere on the face PapaK. Hope the reaction goes as you expect!

I have two nets that go just over my head. I put on a ball cap, then the net, the net can be sinched up around the neck. It's perfect for when you don't want to suit up but want to net your face from getting sting #6 in the right nostil. I believe I got them on Amazon... maybe ebay

I have supers of honey waiting for extraction in the kitchen. A customer stopped by to pick up her wedding favors (miniature clear glass honey filled coffee mugs). I wanted to show her a frame of honey before extraction so I did. After she left I went to sit in my office chair and must have had a bee from the supers between my elbow and wrist. I never saw her and when I laid my arm on the armrest she tagged me. That's sting number 4 since being declared allergic. I took a zyrtec and a pred. It got red, puffy and hurt like a bruise. The redness is subsiding but it still hurts a bit. That was 8-9 hours ago.
