Title: Spicy Sweet Honey Chili Recipe
Post by: blueblood on July 14, 2014, 09:37:24 am
I know it's summer but Mammapoppybee asked if I posted this chili recipe.  I hadn't posted it yet, so here it is:
Ingredients:

Servings:
6-8
Units: US | Metric
2 lbs ground beef (or turkey)
1 cup chopped sweet onion (Vidalia)
1 chopped garlic clove
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper (pablano or Anaheim substitute fine)  I am crazy about bells
1 1/2 diced jalapeno peppers
2 (15 ounce) cans chili beans  (I use black beans) *
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can of petite diced tomatoes
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons Accent seasoning, flavor enhancer (I skip this)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3-1/2 cup honey

*I have to add 1 to 2 cans of tomato sauce to my recipe because I drain and rinse the black beans.
