This has been advertised in Bee Culture Magazine, for simplicity i scanned the page for anyone who might be interested in attending this conference all about russian honey bees at Bee Culture's Beeyard and Conference Center in Medina, Ohio on October 25th and 26th, 2014.
i might have to consider attending this myself!

Wow... Ten hour drive.. I'd love to go to that.
-
probably 11-12 hours for me, so might consider a flight.....
i have talked with or purchased bees and queens from some of these speakers. sure would enjoy having them all in the same room to pick their brains and absorb the lectures.

I concur wholeheartedly..
I doubt it will happen this year, but I have already informed the wife I was going to start taking some trips to go to some of these things..
I HATE cities, traffic, and the attitudes of the people IN those cities.. so I dont go ANYWHERE I do not have to go.. Wife is in NJ on business as I type this, will be home Friday.. I am always offered the opportunity to go along. I always refuse if I can. Going places, and seeing things does not impress me.. I have seen most places I care to.. Mt Rushmore, the statue of liberty, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, The boardwalk in Atlantic city. I have been to the mountains and the desert, Hawaii and Guam. Mexico and Canada.. I have spent an evening with the President of the United States and spoken with a multitude of other important or famous people.. George and Barbara Bush Impressed me, I can easily leave the rest.. Been there, done that... But.. Talking to, or listening to knowledgeable beekeepers and researchers is something that could drag me away from my comfortable spot through all the hassles and trials to be there.

Dan Conlon spoke at our Beekeeper's Banquet this past Spring. Great speaker.
I have 3 of his queens at my apiary now. I'm hoping for good results.
Looks like a very cool opportunity to learn about the newest crop of Russian genetics.

Thank you for this post riverbee. This is close enough for me and I have a HUGE interest in Russians.
