WOW! Looking GOOD Ted!! I could use someone to weed my garden.. Havent had enough time to even pick cucumbers.. Fortunately my daughter has been nabbing them...

Thanks Lazy! I'm right with you on the busy thing. In truth, I can't really say what I've been busy doing, just that I seem to be falling behind on LOTS of stuff! The garden has been a bit of a disappointment this year. At least some of it. The garlic was kinda small, the onions wouldn't even make a nice martini (I started them in the basement from seed, twice, as a mouse got the first batch), I think the tops of the tomatoes got a whiff of roundup from the field. Oh well! The summer raspberries really kicked a$$! The blackberries are doing well and the Asian Pears put on a nice crop. And I think the toms will be okay, they were plenty big when they got hit. Riverbee: Homemade corn tortillas! We made some last year out of field corn and they were DELICIOUS! Using wood ash to nixtmalize (I think that's how it's spelled) the corn really gave it a wonderful, smokey, corn flavor. Absolutely great! Looking forward to trying them with the "proper" type of corn. Yeah, and look at me go posting photos. I'll have to work on posting GOOD photos now. Baby steps man, baby steps. Ted

LOL Dig up some of them raspberries next time you come over.. trying to get some started here,, ;D
I think i will get tomatoes, Cukes, Peppers, cantalope, and sweet corn.. Onions didnt do worth a darn... Still have about 15 jars of pickles from last year, so really dont need to make more... Still have about 20 jars of tomato sauce and diced tomatoes as well... Not sure why I grew more...

our garden is doing well this year in spite of all the crazy weather, tators, tomatoes, cukes, cukes for pickles, squash, pumpkins, pie pumpkins, beans, peas, all sorts of peppers, onions, radishes, carrots.....hmmm what am i forgetting? sweet corn we buy from the local sweet corn farmers.....berry bushes? grow wild here, raspberry, blackberry, and black caps, coming on now. what i don't have is corn to make my own tortillas with.... ;D

Your garden seems to be doing great! Got some tall maters & look at those grapes! Looking forward to adding grapes next spring. Hope they do as well as yours.

Thanks guys! The veggie garden is a little work but the way I see it is, if I wasn't doing that, I might be doing something I really don't like! Weedeating anyone?
Hey Lazy, if you're serious about the raspberries, I could dig a few up for you. I'm not sure how well it will work moving them this time of year but.... Also if the weather keeps on as it has it might work! Otherwise I'll put you on top of the list for next spring. The raspberries are in raised beds (almost everything is) and they like to crawl out into the pathways. Last year I gave my brother a few dozen plants that crawled out, this year my uncle got some, next year I'll pot up the runners and get them to you. Heck we could try some now and some next spring! Let me know. Ted

Oh yeah! I need about 500 raspberry plants, but lets shoot for spring, I am SWAMPED with stuff to do right now.. When Friday rolls around I am quite relieved to be able to spend a day among the bees..
Not saying I want you to provide 500 btw.. :P 1 or 5 or 10.. Every one helps!

I didn't know tomatoes got that tall.
Our garden was doing fantastic but Arthur came along. :sad:
It is recovering, but stuff like our zuchini plants that were doing so well? I still have 2 in the ground and the other 7 dissapeared (literally), they blew right out of the ground and away they went. The tomatoes and beans took a thrashing but they are recovering. Lost a couple nice trees too.
That is one very nice looking garden Ted.
