Good link Apis.
I actually agree with most of the statements based on my limited knowledge..  However, I do often see similar statements claiming that there are now XX% more hives than there were two years ago, ten years ago etc.. so there must not be a problem!!   As beekeepers we all know the reality of splitting hives to replace loss and provide increase..    Next year I could have twice as many hives as I have now if I have a 50% loss this winter, so the use of current # of hives is an irrelevant argument.  Otherwise..   I agree..   We will see how this winter goes and what I have for losses with my bees surrounded by Neonic corn. I might be eating my words with a big slice of humble pie.
