I don't drink alcoholic beverages, so I wont be testing it, but my old neighbor at the ranch is a 85 year old Mexican woman. She makes a syrup out of the juice from "tuna." Tuna is the fruit of prickly pear cactus. I kid you not, look it up. She places a table spoon of the prickly pear syrup and a table spoon of honey into some Tequila and drinks it at night before bedtime. I don't know if it works for all people, but she takes care of 40 or so goats, a couple of dozen free range chickens, a large garden, and keeps up about 40 acres by herself. We should all be so fortunate.

Back in the 90s, in the last century, when I had a night club, JD tried making beer. It didn't do too well.
I had a great neon light for it, but it got broken during a move. :'(

The last mead I made in December of 2012 was with 24 lbs of honey and 7 lbs of "tunas". It sure was good the last time I sampled it. I will have to give it a try, maybe in a couple of months for my birthday. :)

Bam,
I've had it. It's good. I like the "Wild Turkey American Honey" better. ;)

I RARELY drink, though I do enjoy a hearty beverage now and then... But I do have a bottle of this and have, obviously, tried it. It's OK. I don't think I'd give it much more than that. It does add a nice little kick to iced-tea or sweet tea... Just a splash.
