I wanted to share my latest honey bottle label with you all. I am very proud of the work my brother did on it. I will stick with this 3rd label design for a while. I have mentioned him before for those of you that needed some labels. I am a little biased but highly recommend him. He is a professional graphic artist and is open for freelance work. If you are interested in getting in contact with him and getting some quotes, pm me and I will get you in contact with him.
** I received a call this morning from none other than Iddee. I had my number and address listed for the whole world. He just wanted to make sure I really wanted that. I re-thought it and blurred it out. However, It's not you all I am worried about. In fact, pm me if you ever want to chat on the phone and I will give ya my number. Anyway, it was good to speak with the legend once again 8).

I like how the hive and the word Honey really pop out. The blues and golden colors look Great!
-
That label looks great. You're brother's a talented guy.

Thanks friends! Yeah, It was kinda surreal when my iphone recognized "Iddee" calling. I had saved it I guess from the last time this summer I spoke with him. I sold 18 bottles this evening at the farmers market. The labels must have helped boost sales!

That is awesome Dave ;)

NICE!!!! Mind if I steal that label? No Copywrite? Hey! I dont even have to change the name!
Gonna call Iddee this winter and arrange a visit.. Who else wants to meet a legend?
-
That would be a Blast!

A nice improvement on your previous label---which was already very impressive. I think the color combination is what makes it special.
BUT---forget the label, it's the superb contents of the jars that should make for repeat purchasers. I for one know how to avaluate your honey, absolutely great!!!

It's right near the top of my bucket list. Almost happened once.

That looks really good Blue. I still struggling trying to figure out my labels. I really like what you've done there!

Blue, just out of curiosity, do you carry any for of liability insurance to cover yourself should someone get ill from consuming honey with your label on it... or blame you whether or not it's justified? I took a look HERE (http://www.worldwidebeekeeping.com/forum/index.php/topic,770.0.html) to see if you had commented, but I didn't see any input from you. If you do carry insurance, who do you carry it with? Is it a separate insurance in addition to your property insurance? Does one insurance cover the liability of your hives vs consumption of your honey?
-
Hi capt! I don't carry any specific insurance for the honey. If I decide to do more markets, I would inquire with my State Farm agent. I donr really hear of folks getting sick on honey. I'm more concerned about children under 1 year of age. I suppose I'm playing with fire?

Well, I can't answer that. I never even thought insurance until I came here. I'm thinking that with the small quantities (relatively speaking) that I'll be dealing with down the road won't justify the expense of insurance. Just need to make sure I keep my Homestead Act up-to-date on my house and there's nothing anyone can take from me! Maybe put a fine-print warning on the bottom of my label when the time comes: "Consume at own risk."... That'll help it sell!

I hear ya. Product safety liability per year is in the neighborhood of $450. No thanks! That would severely eat into any profits of a small keep at a small town farmers market. If I worry too much about it, I will revert to selling to close friends, co-workers and neighbors. I have no problem moving my honey.
