Being a rebuilding year transitioning from a sideliner to just a hobby I am rebuilding so I didn't pull any honey. Keeps in this area had a nice harvest. How was others harvest through out the country
-
Just extracted 37 gallons Saturday. That was my 3rd harvest this summer. around 115 gallons total.
-
Late Spring harvest off 50% from last year. From 3 hives I pulled 8 gallons in early June.
Late Summer harvest much better. Those same 3 hives gave me 15 gallons.
Hopefully next year all 7 hives will be producers.

Have not looked to see if I have a fall harvest yet, hope to get a little bit, so for have gotten 8 gallons this year off of 2 hives.

Just shy of a ton so far, will soon start the last pull. I know I have some more out there, maybe another 1,000 lbs if all goes well.
I've been fortunate. ;)

I'm hoping to get a little more. I got around 8 gallons, too. Both of my hives swarmed early this spring, so they had some catching up to do.

With all the swarming this spring I didn't plan on any honey at all, but by golly my girls pulled thru and I have 5 pints to date, quite possibly more by end of Sept.Just shy of a ton so far, will soon start the last pull.

Good Gravy, the mind boggles! Perry do you have to hire help at any time of the season?

No fall honey yet.
So far, after a winter that killed all but three colonies, I did a lot of splitting this year to recover the losses. That said, I was happy to pull ~100 lbs off of two hives so far. We will see in the next couple of weeks what they are going to give me (if anything) for a fall harvest.

I have to first! :D
Jen, I have not had to hire anyone, and don't really see the need to. I am "only" at around 65 hives and I believe this is my comfort zone (50-65).
I don't move them for pollination anymore, so that really almost eliminated my need for help.
My extracting set-up seems to work well on my own, and as I intergrate the last few pieces it will only get easier.
Cut-outs I usually need help, and most of the time the helper gets the bees.
If I tend to a few hives each day it is not hard to keep on top of things, but inspections throws things off in the spring.
It's nice when I have company, but that's more because I like talking so much!

I have one super to harvest ,maybe more, I'll check this week when sun comes back!
