Title: Slow Mo Foraging on the Goldenrod
Post by: blueblood on September 08, 2014, 09:19:25 pm
A little fun in slow mo in the fields around my yard.  I have acres of this stuff!  If you watch closely in the very first frames, you can see the approach of a bee from the background.

Looks like more blooms per plant too.

Blue, I thought I was watching a documentary on bees there for a second.  That's great!

Great vid!

I've been meaning to ask you... What do you have/use for a camera?

Thanks!

Great video.  I finally got my GoPro back out this weekend.  I might have to get Jill to set it up by the hive.  I can operate it with my phone, I just don't know from how far away...

Same Goldenrod we have here..   The stuff is everywhere you look.. It has been an unbelievable year for the nectar flow..   Thousands of acres of YELLOW Blooming Goldenrod are just the icing on this years cake.. And I got to EAT that icing.. Maybe you cant have your cake and eat it too.. but you sure can HAVE the honey and eat it too!~
