Barry,

The press is all over the place on this one. They can't get their numbers straight. Does that really surprise any of us?

There was a paper wasp nest of some sort pulled out to the attic of an old house in Corpus Christi, Texas that was approximately the size of a living room couch.  Maybe it was wasps and not honey bees.

The Weaver family of beekeepers say a mature hive of Italians is 80 to 90 thousand bees.
