Is everyone able to upload there avatars without any trouble. I am seeing a lot of red x's where avatars was before we switched to smf software. Please let me know if there are any problems uploading and or if you are seeing the red x's in the posts.

mine is fine and i can see others avatars, thanks minniemoe.  for those having trouble, what message do you see when you try to post an avatar?

It appears to be a browser issue.  The Avatars show up fine in firefox I get a lot of x's when in explorer. Is anyone else having this issue running explorer as a browser

I checked it out in Chrome (ok there) and IE (some red X's).  But I'm still on XP so it may not matter to some folks.

I go to Profile, I click on Forum Profile, I click on Upload an Avatar, then to the right I click on browse which takes me to my Documents. From there I have two profile pics, the same image, one from my camera chip, one from Flicker. I can highlight the photo, either one, and the numbers come up in the window next to Browse. And that is where it stops.

I pulled that pick from another forum, if that is not the one you want we can change it.

After following all of what you said above, did you scroll to the bottom of that page and click on "change profile"

Nope! I did not hit that button, I was searching for a 'submit' button. Thanks for helping. Yes, this is the pic I want for the time being. I'm pretty computer savvy, but I'm not too forum savvy, so you guys will have to be patient with me  :)

tee hee, i was trying to help jaybird with uploading of the avatar, but didn't think to tell her to scroll to 'change profile'.....lol 

jaybird we have patience and once in awhile a magic wand......lol  :)
