I bought a new digital general tool moisture meter for checking firewood for moisture content. It will check moisture in powders, soil, wood, sheetrock, concrete paint etc. After trying it out on firewood I got curious and started playing around checking some of my honey. All of it showed between 16 and 17 percent moisture. That is about what it read on my refractometer when extracting. It seams to be a pretty accurate way to check honey. Has anyone else tried using one of these on honey. At $25.00 and some change to be delivered to the house it might be a cheap quick way to get a digital reading when extracting. And has an added bonus it can be used to check moisture contemnt in lumber when buying to insure it is dried down enough so it wont warp when you build your wooden ware.

That's an interesting tool, I sure will have to get one. Yesterday I got a handy camera that I can use to see inside my hives, now with this tool. Thanks!
