Awesome Mama! We've got some buds out on our maples as well. Good new for me as well... so far. All three hives seem to be hangin' in there, but two of the hives are all over the fondant.

a vary large ornamental pear, and some stone fruits ie peach, apricot, and nectarine. The pear is normally first to flower has these big silver buds like and old mans beard. ( take no offense please) I get giddy when spring comes back around! So this will be my first spring with a hive like this when do i start to feed 1 to 1 and such?
-
As soon as your temps hit 10 C (50 F) and above.
-
is it for so many consecutive days? cuz oh my is it fab out perry! If i could send you a ray of this warmth i so would.
-
You start to feed sugar syrup when they need it to keep from starving and the temp. of the syrup will stay above 55 F. Wait if you can, as once started, you cannot let them run empty or they will starve quickly. When you start, the queen starts laying. Another 1,000 mouths daily will have to have feed.

eah, so much difference in feeding bee candy than feeding syrup. I'm still learning on this topic as well.
