Post by: LazyBkpr on December 26, 2013, 10:49:30 pm

Is there a timer on the forum??  I notice I get kicked out a lot and have to relog in... Often losing whatever I was typing..   OR   sitting in Chat talking I also notice that chat stops updating and I have to relog to get back into it???

Next time you log in there is an option of how long to stay logged in (a timer) or another box you can check for always stay logged in.

also lazy, make sure you clear your web content cache in firefox every once in awhile.  i have noticed when this is storing a large amount i can get hung up in the chat box.

I am in a different time zone. I find it difficult to follow the sequence of chat comments.

Can I do something to get a full screen (more comments) display of the chat ?

I agree Barbarian It is like every time you are coming in to the middle of the conversation.

Click on the red login and it will bring up the log in dialog box with the check box for staying logged on for longer than 1 hour. It still puts a time limit on your log in but i doubt that you can last that long with out sleep.
Click the back arrow for the page in your browser then highlight and cut what you were trying to post. Look at the forum heading the post was located in and the thread name so you can find it as it will not show in the unread posts, Sign in again and navigate to the post and paste your text into  this window. You will need to add any attachments or photo posts again.

I was able to tweak the settings a bit.  Previously chat would retain 100 comments.  I have expanded it to 200 comments.  Hopefully that will let you scroll back to the start of a conversation when you join.  Let's see if it hurts performance in anyway.

Thanks admin.    I have been able to look back about 36 hours of chat.
