I don't live in Alabama, but if I read this article right, this is the comment period for whether you would like a tar sands project authorized in your state.
Always good to keep an eye on things, the dept of natural resources wants to know what you think.

I read about the possibility of tar sands in AL on Forbes the other day.
Loved the requirement that any “Comment Based on Science, Not Opinion”. Well, that should make their jobs a little easier! :D
As I was reading the Forbes piece I was thinking to myself, isn’t this a very ODD time to be thinking of developing some expensive new tar sands? The oil “experts” tend to claim the USA is nearing capacity in our storage tanks and after that they’re going to have to start giving the stuff away…..

That figures live in the state and the first I have heard of it, keep it quite and it will go away they figure to their interest.

Read somewhere there is a tar sands port going in near Mobile? Canadian tar sands shipping out by boat, the Alabama would just provide more tar sands for the port

Lets build the pipeline and quit debating about it.
