Can some one explain what pol line queens are?  Are they a good thing?

I have many and have ordered more queens. Here is a link that should explain it pretty well

Thanks for the link.  I ordered some from Velbert Williams in Arkansas. Where did you get yours?

Last 2 years I've ordered from Velbert and been very happy with the queens. I do have to treat them.

that is good to hear.  If I graft from these queens will the resulting open mated queens be considered pol line or just mutts?

I seemed to have had better luck with the vsh than I did the pol-line. But lost most of both.  Just pinched two vsh and one pol. They were placed in late season nucs last summer. All that was left in the two vsh nus was a few hundred bees and a marked queen. I do suspect some pesticde issue in the yard.  Been a bad year for me.... worse ever
