Captured another swarm today in Concord. I used a 5 gallon bucket duct taped to an old telescoping pool cleaning pole. It works great for those swarms high up the tree. I was trying to video with one hand and work the bees with the other. :) Not the greatest video by any means but, it'll do. This is #3 since last Saturday.

Nice vid rrog! I guess I'll forgive you for mushing that bee when you put the first frame back in....kidding ;) :D

 lol.........As luck would have it, she actually didn't get mushed....just got a little jammed up for a second. Once I adjusted that frame she went on her way.

Well good! The hardest part of putting the frames back into the hive is trying to push the frames together without mushing bees in between the wooden wedges... a true test of patients ~

Nice swarm, for a minute there I thought you were up in my neck of the woods LOL.

I saw my first swarm of the year on Thursday as I was driving down the road. I was in a hurry to get somewhere and it was 30+ feet up so I had to pass on trying to bring it home.
RE: telescoping pole. I need to get one of these.
