Title: New hive Layout - Nucs
Post by: 40 Acre Bees on May 21, 2015, 08:33:50 pm
Well we are still waiting for our new nucs after losing our bees this past winter.  My question is we have lots of drawn comb and honey left from last year.  Do we need to feed syrup if we have lots of frames of honey and how would we layout the frames in the deep.  We use 10 frames in deep supers.  Thanks

I put the nuc frames in the middle, empty frames or foundation next to them and the honey frames in #1 and #10 position. JMHO, Jack

Yes, i would feed them 1 to 1 sugar mix as long as they take it. Jack
