who'd of thunk it? the removal I did 2 weeks ago was in a rental property belonging to a st Louis policeman so when a swarm showed up on a wall in downtown st Louis the cop called me. the local newspaper & all 3 tv stations showed up. I put these girls in a nuc this morning.

I think that first picture with your shadow on the wall looking at the nuc is incredible! Poster material that one.

Great Public Relations---for you and for the bees.
The  police department should give you an honorary membership in their emergency squad.

Well done!  Good story.. I liked the part about the bees blatantly disregarding the police perimeter..   Ever find out who left the other box there?

it looked like another beekeeper may have been trying to bait them into a cardboard nuc. I'm not sure why he would take that approach as they were on a flat masonry wall. I put the box on a slight angle tight to the wall & brushed them into it. it took 10 seconds. It was not my intention to interfere with another beekeeper. we all know  about the mentality & phobias of the general public in regards to bees & because of the location the police considered them a hazard & wanted them gone NOW. had I not removed the bees & the box when I did they would have been sprayed. I've posted on local beekeeping sites looking for the beekeeper so I can return his box.
