Title: Guarding a box of honey

So.  I'm considering pulling a full super of honey from my hive, so they can keep working on filling the super above it.  I'm moving soon so I'll have to move this hive, and I don't want excessive amounts of honey in it or I won't be able to move it.  My question is, how do I guard that box of capped honey from pests and robbing?  Can I put it in a refrigerator?  Are there any other good methods you guys know of, short of extracting (I don't have an extractor at the moment)?

If you have small hive beetles, I'd either leave it on the hive or take it off and freeze it.  When moving just remove it then and reassemble upon arrival.  If you have the time you could crush and strain.

Place the whole super in a large plastic trash bag. Seal all the openings with tape. Freeze for 3 or more days. Then store at room temp. Open when ready to use.
