I know you are tempted to go after them but are you? Can you get to each with a lift? they both could be done in one day, save on lift rentals.

I have only ever seen an "open air" colony once, and that was back in BC on the underside of an eave. It was small and had just started but it was apparent what they were trying to do.

We are going after the top one for sure.
We have access to a lift. Not sure on the second one yet. It's a little higher.
I'll take some close pictures when I get up there.

It looks like it may be the harder of the 2 looks like it may go inside of the tree. will the let you do some pruning if necessary? Like cut the tree open / off there the bees are.

I want one. A bottle of honey is an incredible deal. Use it for both and give him 2 bottles. Have fun with them/it.
