I've been bad. School has started and I have been busier than a one armed paper hanger. Anyway, all I have been able to do is just walk by the hives and just see that there is some activity going on. I have no clue what's going on in those boxes right now. I haven't been in a few of the boxes in over a month. I'm hoping to get in there this weekend and no telling what I will find. And to top it off, I learned of some bees in a water meter that I need to go cut out. If I didn't need to make money, life would be good.

Heard that, we have twenty one days in. That and baling hay has kept me busy. Ran through last Saturday taking off empties. Treating fifty today and hope to have them put away this evening. Second treatment this weekend. Going to use quickstrips on the away hives again although I had issues in the past and swore them off. May wait until the heat leaves in a week or so. Fall push and the evenings get shorter. Bring on deer season ;D

Hey tbonekel:
If your bees had room I am willing to go out on a limb and say that you will probably find things are OK. There are times that I don't get around to mine for a few weeks and it usually doesn't result in disaster. Bees have been taking care of themselves for a long time and usually do a pretty good job of it.

Agree with Perry. Sometimes letting them be isnt so bad.. it can be worse during swarm season, but this time of year leaving them alone more is better.

I tend to think that as well, but I have one hive that is one deep and lots of traffic at the entrance. I need to check them soon so half of them don't end up in the trees.
