This colony is next to a ladies driveway.  Could they be trapped out in the spring?

@Iddee:

I guess I knew spring, as there are not any drones flying now, and even in Texas, where the current temperature will reach into the 90's today, winter is coming.  We could have our first frost in as little as two weeks.  Winter is mild here, but it can come quickly.

thanks for the reply.

Judging by the size of this tree, I presume this is not a large colony.

   i have gotten half a dozen calls for removals in the last month..   I have managed to convince those folks to leave the bees alone till spring..
  If I cut them out now, they wont survive. I might use them to strengthen other colonies for winter.. but if left alone, AND they survive the winter. I can cut them out in the spring and allow them to grow and survive...
  In the end, the folks who want the cut outs done save money. I charge less in the spring than I do in the fall to remove bees. Beyond that, if they do not make it, they dont need a cut out done, so it is in their favor to wait!
