I may pull honey from weak hive and add to my others. How do I also combine the bees from the weak hive?
-
Well, things did not go as planned, ended up having two weak hives, combining may not even be enough, just not enough bees. Then I went to look into my two nucs, they were well on their way of being ready for winter when I was in them a weeks back. Both hives were empty of any sign of either colony. All honey stores had been robbed. So I went from 5 hives in this yard to two. And I am not sure if the combined one will have enough bees for winter.

sorry to hear of your losses. I posted about "Dead Queen"....even though your hives are weak you could try for a newspaper combine. I posted a pretty detailed plan, take a look at that post, perhaps they will surprise you and survive the winter.

I did combine the two weak ones but I'm still worried with the not having enough bees because I could see some of the brood was already dead probably because there was not enough Bees to keep them warm.
-
By combining them your still giving them the best chance possible.

how many bees would you estimate you have. I would combine and place in a 5 frame nuc and place a 2nd nuc over them with frames of honey and pollen

That may be my best option once they are combined.
