Was thinking  that . some money could be made selling bird houses to all the big money people around here that live on the lakes  here , they seem to not have a problem spending $ $ on their boats or jet ski's at our shop

I buy bird houses here from 3 to 5 dollars each. I wouldn't assemble them for that if the wood was given to me precut.

I was thinking 3 to 5 $ × 2,000 houses , with leftover wood while saws are always setup , would just have to bore different hole sizes

My wife's retired friends, a couple, build bird houses out of old barn lumber and roof them with used barn iron.  They sell them for 25 to 50 bucks each.  They sell a lot of them at flea markets and such.  My birds eat from less expensive feeders.

$5 is too cheep!  ;D  No seriously, it is too low.  Around here, people sometimes use old auto license plates  or corrugated metal for roofs.  They also make the little perches, at the opening, out of interesting little things like drawer pulls.  Then you have to paint the houses so that adds to the cost of your project.
I think it's a good use for scraps.  We want to see pictures of a finished project!
