When I build my cabin this is the stove I'm going to buy.

For this baby I'll drive to Ohio. Glad I found it. ;D
Bit pricey but worth every single penny. Top of the line MB wood stove, made in Serbia.
Both my grandmother, and my mother had the wood stove from this maker.
As a kid spent many evenings sitting in the front of the stove warming up after a day of playing in the snow :)

That is just like the Aga stove I grew up with on the grandparents farm.
It kept the whole house warm, heated water for the shower too, and there was always a kettle on a warm spot that just had to moved to center for a cup of tea within a few minutes.

my nan still uses hers. think that may have something todo with why her cooking taste so much better! idk but her food is fantastic.

Marbees, do you have a link to the stove. I have a Kitchen Queen that is Amish or Mennonite built in the US. Very heavy. I have a water coil in the firebox and can heat my hot water tank with it. It is not as wood efficient as the dedicated Drolet wood heater and the extra heavy construction is not a plus if you want to get oven temperature up for baking. I would be interested in reading the material about the stove you pictured.

Very efficient stove, during heating season my mother never used electrical stove, bread, pies, roasts would come from the oven, and everything else was cooked on the top.

marbees, seeing that brought some great memories back. my great grandmother had a 'big ol' stove similiar to that, in a small 2 room farmhouse; basically, a big room with 'living room', 'kitchen' no real kitchen, mud room off the back, and a bedroom. that was it. i stayed with her a great deal growing up. that stove did everything for her. no running water to the house until later in her life, no heat, but that stove provided her heat and was all purpose and was always fired up! heated her place in cold winter months, humidity for dry winter air, warm water to wash up in and cooking up some awesome meals! btw, loved the sound and the smell every early morning the coffee in an old enamel pot brewing on it. not to mention the eggs and bacon frying and the biscuits !

riverbee, you just described my grandmother's house. :) That enamel pot, was it blue with white flowers and a little chipped off :D

My kitchen queen is a fair bit heavier but I dont think that is all a plus. The efficiency ratings are higher on the magnum and I like the arrangement for cleanout under the oven. That is not as handy on mine.
