Title: right on TARGET.......trap out

Got a pest control company that gives me a call just about once a week for swarms, cut outs or trap outs. This one was at Target store next to east town mall. They are in the wall. Big hollow space between the cinder blocks, kind of built funny......fake stone, four inch cinder block, about a six inch space, another four inch cinder block, styrofoam insulation and then sheet rock. There is a cap block on top or the cinder blocks and that stopped their upward movement. Set the trap out today and was it ever HOT, the evening sun baking us at 96* F and all of the heat coming off of the block wall and sidewalk. Took about 5 1/2 hours to get them set up and all of the holes plugged. Plenty of water and shade breaks.

You always seem to get a trap set perfectly. They work great when it's that well set.

G3, How successful are you at getting the queen on them trap outs? Have a bee tree to do in the future. Owner is in no rush and I would really like that queen for her survivor genetics.

Never with this kind of trap out, only once out of maybe 35 trap outs and she left or something happened to her.

G3 looks like unistrut for leg's ,did ya tapcon boxsupports to fake stone ?

yep uni strut for legs, 1" pipe for the horizontal supports, chipped the stone off to get to the cinder blocks, tap cons in some home made brackets. Brackets made out of 3/16" plate with a short piece of 1 1/4" pipe welded to it with a 3/8" nut on the side of the pipe piece. 1" pipe will slide nicely inside of 1 1/4" pipe and then a short bolt into the welded on nut to hold the 1" in place.
