Title: First pull of 2016!
Post by: Perry on July 19, 2016, 11:44:24 am
Went out today and brought home 17 honey supers. Will start to extract this afternoon. Hoping my jiggle knife speeds up the uncapping part. Only going to do an initial round to get the 600 lbs. for the winery.

Good work Perry!  I can't help but feel some honey envy looking at those nice supers and capped frames, well done.  :)

Father Perry... he cares soo much for his bees, and look what he gets in return. If I were to be a queen bee, I would want to be in Perry's apiary...

Looking good Perry Are you going to deliver the honey to them in a drum? Put the drum in the back of your truck and pump the honey into it. Save packing 60lbs pails.

Looks great, how do you keep the bees from building bur comb on top of the frames, mine always have a bunch I have to clean off.

Thanks for the kind words, it makes it all the more worthwhile.
We are probably mid clover as far as flow goes. Mikey, some of my hives don't produce nice clean frames like that, but I'm not gonna take pictures of those! :o
The honey will be delivered in 30 lb. pails, easier for the customer to handle, and I ask for the pails back.
