So one hive is getting honey bound EVEN though I added a honey super 2 weeks ago. So I took some empty frames 3 (with comb) and put them in the 2 deep and the first deep I put 1 for there is getting no room for the queen to lay. I put them just right of center with one of there own inbetween.
Is this the right way to get them to have room for the queen? Oh and 3 of those honey frames I put into the swarm hive. gesh that swarm is late to get going.

That's probably how I would have handled it. Let's see if we BOTH would have been wrong. Ted

The bees will likely fill those frames with honey also. if the queen laid them out over the next week It will be 3 weeks to a month before the bees emerge another 3 weeks before they are forager age. This will put the brood emerging mid to the last week of August and not foraging till the 2nd week of September. The bees Know there internal calendar and are\will be cutting back on brood and starting to back fill the brood chamber. You didn't do anything wrong as the bees have lots of time to back fill more frames but I would not be surprised if you find more honey than brood in the frames on your next inspection.
