Organizational meeting at the Manhattan Zoo, Manhattan, Kansas, 7 P.M. Guest Speakers: Richard Marteney, Master Beekeeper, 35 years experience. Prof Viktor Chikan, Swarms, swarm traps and pheromones.

Flint Hills Beekeepers Association will meet second Tuesday and 4th Thursday of every month, 7 P.M., Manhattan (Sunset) Zoo. Beginning June 2014 will meet monthly same time, same place on the 4th Thursday. Priority now is to get 30 new members up to speed so that they can start hives this Spring. Membership ranges from large operations to single hive keepers. Something for everyone.

Gary, glad to see some clubs forming farther out west. Western KS beekeepers could use the fellowship. I belong to the North East KS Beekeepers Assoc. We had beekeepers join us from all parts of the state, so I know there is a need. Good luck.

there is also a new club down south think its the south central beekeeping association. Bill Vinduska runs it
