13 sounds appropriate, since she was unlucky enough to have her birthday lost in the mix of the US Thanksgiving holiday.

Yes, sometimes my birthday does get lost in the Thanksgiving excitement. Next year it will be on Thanksgiving, I believe.
I always think of a Bakers dozen as 13. I chose that name because I think it means to give a little more than expected. But 12 or 13, it doesn't matter what people on this forum call me. :)

My sister has a birthday that occasionally falls on Thanksgiving. Not as bad as Christmas. Had a childhood friend who had to share his birthday with Christmas and I always felt bad for him.
