Got a call from some friends that run a Ghost town/Gold Prospecting/RV Park about a swarm40 miles North of us so off I went, they are now safely in a deep and hopefully these will stay around.

Are they mean bees? I've experienced some of those bees from the Phoenix area lately. I did a couple of cutouts recently, and those bees are pretty hot.

Isn't it interesting how once you own a bee suit, people you don't even know start calling you to collect their bees.
We talk about bees communicating with pheromones, I think he bee suits come with a pheromone that lets people know where you are.
And the sad part is, we are so excited to get the recognition, that we go running out and catch the bees for them!
We're addicts with a world full of enablers.

These were from up near Yarnell at about 4000 feet and calm as can be, we have 5 feral hives now and none are any more hot than our European hive of which we have 3 now all Italian. I have gone on one cutout call last year and they were so "hot" we declined the offer and went home without bothering them anymore. They were under a shed they flipped with a tractor and had been exposed for 2 days to open air, these bees were mighty ornery....
Bee Baron Lee, who knows what may come....
Ummmmm Perry really? :D you sure have a nice honey harvesting system for a feller what has only 12 hives running
