Title: First swarm ever!
Post by: Les on April 27, 2017, 11:00:52 pm
First swarm call EVER and it ends up being a cut out.  It was at a bank, so we could not start the removal till
after 6:00 pm.  Worked into the dark.  Don't know if there was a queen, very new comb and no brood yet.  However, they were marching into the box, so I hope that is a good sign.  Thank goodness for my husband and his deconstruction skills!

Very Cool! I'm amazed at how docile the bees are. Such a clean operation  ;) 8)

Jen, it was surprising considering that they were very aggressive when I first went to check out the spot the day before.  They were about ten feet up and were bumping me when I was standing on the ground.  One of them did nail me on the upper inner thigh through my jeans. That is a tender spot  :\'(
