I went into my hives today and found that all of them have an eaten all of their Honey stores and being that it is 93degrees and so dry haven't had rain nothing that is normally blooming right now is.so I will in the process of making them sugar water to feed all .
here in Central Florida the drought is on.
There are eggs and laying but not the full frames I was seeing before, I hope the nectur starts soon, come on rain
Any info helps thanks in advance

We had an incredibly dry summer and fall last year where I am at. Not much you can do other than feed, you don't want them starving.

Feed is on and they are taking it,

Make sure you see pollen in the frames. Without it everything slows to a crawl so to speak. :D

jtc, like cbt mentioned about the pollen, any pollen stored in frames or coming in at all?
putting feed on is good, been there, done that. like perry said, don't want them to starve.
-
Dry spell here also.
Not helped by someone dumping insecticide into drains leading to river. 3 weeks ago and it wiped out 25miles of invertebrate river life.
My hives are by the river. Still surviving but I am concerned.

Under the conditions you are experiencing, a novice beekeeper can lose their bees to starvation. Good job putting on sugar/water. You might want to make sure your water source hasn't dried up. Under those conditions, a creek or pond that was a water source can dry up.

Thanks for all pollen is solid dry nectur. Will be following up tomorrow. Water spot is tended to daily

Follow up. Bees are taking feed wounderful. And pollen is coming in filling frames and building nice on the mediums.
